2017 was a slow year in the Red Deer real estate market, but it wasn’t as bad as predicted. If average prices dipped, they only dipped a little, and sales numbers only decreased 7% from 2016. But what does that say about 2018? What can we expect this year?
Most of 2017 saw lower sales accept two months. August had higher sales than 2016 and so did December. December 2017 sales where 30% higher than the December 2016 and right now in January 2018 sales are twice as high as January 2017. Over the nest 60 days we will see if the higher sales are an anomaly or whether they are the start of a trend. I’ll keep you posted!
